One of the top guards in the class of 2009 committed to North Carolina on Monday night.
Leslie McDonald, who attends Briarcrest High School in Memphis, Tenn., has become the fifth player to commit to the Tar Heels.
The 6-foot-4 McDonald is ranked the No. 7 wing guard and the No. 27 prospect overall in his class by Scout.com.
He joins John Henson, David Wear, Travis Wear, and Dexter Strickland in UNC's '09 class. McDonald picked UNC over Tennessee, Memphis, Duke, Ohio State and Georgetown.
