The components of North Carolinas NCAA title run returned to Chapel Hill for various reasons, but Roy Williams got everyone on the same page once the season started. Ty Lawson and Wayne Ellington, two of the biggest reasons why the Heels will be hanging another banner, came back for their junior seasons after a cool reception by NBA scouts.
Now what?
As of right now, nobody seems to be thinking about it. Lawson and Ellington both told the assembled media in Detroit their future was on hold while they enjoyed their one shining moment. Even Roy Williams doesn't have a real sense of what will happen in the next couple of weeks.
I have no idea. We haven't talked about it one second. The thing I'm most proud of is those kids, when they decided to come back, I told them, it's got to be my way.
